Over the past couple of months, I'm sure that most of you have noticed that I've altered my release schedule to be a bit looser. Instead of releasing my new stories on specific dates, I've started releasing new material in a date range (like around the eleventh of each month). And since then, I've had a couple of people ask me why I decided to make that change. So, I figured I'd make a post about it (because it's my blog and I'll ramble if I want to!)
The simplest answer to that question is that I was driving myself crazy trying to hit specific release dates. My schedule is already pretty demanding - two full-length caption stories as well as a book release each month is an incredible amount of work - so adding concrete release dates to the mix and the whole thing really, really stressful. In addition, I found myself pushing through things that (in my opinion) just weren't working. Models I didn't really like. Storylines I wasn't really behind. That sort of thing. And while those stories ended up meeting my standards, it was a lot of stress making them fit.
So, I took a step back and rethought my release schedule. And then I realized that so long as I release three stories a month, everything should be okay. The dates, as long as they're in the right area of the month, don't really matter. So, that's what I'm doing. In the meantime, I'll try to remain as transparent as possible about when stories are coming.
With that being said, if it takes a day or two longer than anticipated, I'm not stressing about it too much. However, if anyone has issues with it, please don't hesitate to let me know via my CONTACT ME page. I'll do whatever I can to accommodate reasonable concerns.
As an aside, it has come to my attention that my old CONTACT ME page wasn't working properly. I've since replaced it with something else. If you've sent a message to which I didn't respond (I respond to everything), please re-send it. Somehow, I just wasn't getting them.
